The NFL is thrilled for New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, who shared exciting personal news on Wednesday.
Maye took to Instagram to announce his engagement to his longtime girlfriend, Ann Michael Hudson. The No. 3 pick of the 2024 NFL Draft posted a photo of his romantic beachside proposal, capturing the moment he got down on one knee.
“Love doing life with you. Can’t wait to marry you!” Maye wrote in the caption, alongside a picture of the couple showing off Hudson’s engagement ring. Fans quickly filled the comment section with congratulations, and even the Patriots joined in, leaving a celebratory message for the pair.
The NFL also joined the celebration by sharing Maye’s photos in a separate post, congratulating the couple and tagging their social media accounts. “Congrats to @drake.maye and @amh811 on their engagement!” the league wrote.
Maye and Hudson have been together for nearly a decade, recently celebrating their nine-year anniversary in October. Both attended the University of North Carolina, where Hudson is still studying. She’s pursuing a degree in Business Administration at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, with minors in Entrepreneurship and Conflict Management, according to her LinkedIn profile.
Though the wedding date remains unknown, it’s clear that exciting times lie ahead for Maye, both on and off the field.
