The Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders released their final injury reports on Thursday ahead of their divisional round matchup on Saturday. A total of three players have been ruled out, with three others listed as questionable.
The Lions will be missing starting offensive lineman Kevin Zeitler, who is out with a hamstring injury. Zeitler, injured in Week 18, did not practice this week despite the team’s first-round bye. In his absence, 2024 sixth-round pick Christian Mahogany will start at guard. Mahogany previously stepped in for an injured Graham Glasgow in Week 16, allowing just one pressure and no sacks. Backup defensive lineman Pat O’Connor has also been ruled out with a calf injury.
Rookie cornerback Ennis Rakestraw Jr. is the Lions’ only questionable player. Rakestraw, who has been on injured reserve since Week 12, was designated to return during the bye and participated in limited practice on Thursday. He must be activated before playing.
On the positive side, running back David Montgomery will return after a four-week absence due to a knee injury. Montgomery practiced fully this week and expressed excitement about contributing again.
“It’s refreshing,” Montgomery said, via ESPN’s Eric Woodyard. “To be back in a position where I can help the team—I missed it. I’m happy to be back.”
Rookie cornerback Terrion Arnold, who exited the season finale with a foot injury, is also cleared to play.
For the Commanders, linebacker Jordan Magee has been ruled out with a hamstring injury. Two players, linebacker Mykal Walker (illness) and tight end Colston Yankoff (hamstring), are listed as questionable.
