The Dragons are preparing for a major overhaul following their disappointing exit from the finals race, with fan-favorite winger Mikaele Ravalawa already being offered to rival clubs.
Last season, the Fijian speedster was the Dragons’ standout player, scoring an impressive 20 tries—a record-tying feat for a team that struggled offensively throughout the year.
However, the 26-year-old Ravalawa hasn’t been the same in 2024, dealing with a knee injury and being dropped from the team mid-season.
Ravalawa has managed just three tries in 12 NRL games this season and was recently suspended for abusing a touch judge in the NSW Cup.
In last weekend’s must-win game against the Eels, the powerful winger had a particularly poor performance.
A rival club official confirmed that Ravalawa, who has two years remaining on his contract, was offered for the 2025 season. “The Dragons are trying to move him, but he’s an out-of-form winger on a large salary,” the official told Wide World of Sports. “I don’t see them finding a buyer easily.”
Several other Dragons players are also expected to be either moved on or given the opportunity to explore the market in the coming weeks.
