Alabama’s coaching staff has been actively recruiting over the past two weeks, extending offers to prospects from the 2027 class. One of those prospects is Hayden Ainsworth, an offensive lineman from Biloxi, Mississippi, who recently received an offer from the Crimson Tide.
In a conversation with Touchdown Alabama, Ainsworth shared his excitement about the opportunity.
“It means the world,” he said. “When you think of blue-blood programs, Alabama is the first that comes to mind. Knowing that the coaches there believe in me is an incredible feeling. This is something I’ve been working toward since I first learned about high school recruitment.”
Born in 2009, Ainsworth recognizes Alabama’s dominance in college football over the years.
“I was born in ’09, and since then, they’ve always been at the top,” he said. “No matter what people think now, their legacy remains, and I believe it’s still growing.”
Ainsworth plays for Biloxi High School under head coach Jamey Dubose, one of Alabama’s most accomplished high school coaches. Dubose has won three state championships—one at Central-Phenix City and two at Prattville.
Ainsworth appreciates the opportunity to play under such an experienced coach.
“His record speaks for itself,” Ainsworth said. “This is my second year with him, and I see nothing but improvement—not just for me, but for our entire team. Not everyone gets to play for a three-time state champion, and I’m making the most of it.”
The 6-foot-5, 305-pound lineman is focused on improving his game under Dubose’s guidance while also looking ahead to his recruiting process. He’s eager to visit Alabama and start building relationships with the coaching staff.
“I’m looking forward to connecting with the new offensive coordinator, Coach Kap, and the strength and conditioning staff,” he said. “As soon as the dead period ends, I want to get up there as quickly as possible. Everyone at Alabama is upholding a standard, and I want to experience that firsthand.”
Projected to play offensive tackle at the next level, Ainsworth is being recruited primarily for that position. His strengths include finishing blocks, pass protection, and blocking at the second level—skills he aims to refine throughout his high school career.
