The New England Patriots have bolstered their coaching staff with another key addition ahead of the upcoming season.
Multiple reports confirm that former NFL head coach Doug Marrone is joining the Patriots. Marrone has seven years of head coaching experience in the NFL, leading the Buffalo Bills from 2013 to 2014 and the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2016 to 2020. Most recently, he served as the offensive line coordinator for the New Orleans Saints since 2023 and held the same position at Alabama in 2021.
While Marrone’s specific role with the Patriots has not been disclosed, his extensive experience with offensive lines is a significant factor in this hire. His expertise could be particularly valuable for a team that struggled with protection last season. Adding a seasoned coach with his background could provide a much-needed boost on the sidelines.
