As the Denver Broncos prepare for their season opener against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, several players have updated their jersey numbers.
This week, three Broncos players changed their numbers, and new linebacker Kristian Welch selected his. Wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey has moved from No. 17 to No. 84, while teammate Devaughn Vele shifted from No. 81 to No. 17. Outside linebacker Nik Bonitto has also changed from No. 42 to No. 15, and Welch chose No. 57 for his new role.
These updates follow jersey number changes made by four other players last week. Here’s a look at the team’s revised numbers:
- WR David Sills: No. 13
- OLB Nik Bonitto: No. 15
- WR Devaughn Vele: No. 17
- RB Audric Estime: No. 23
- RB Blake Watson: No. 25
- RB Tyler Badie: No. 28
- LB Kristian Welch: No. 57
- WR Lil’Jordan Humphrey: No. 84
Humphrey wore No. 84 with the New Orleans Saints, and Welch wore No. 57 with the Baltimore Ravens for three seasons.
Both the 53-man roster and the 17-player practice squad are finalized for Week 1.
