Report: Louisiana Tech Player Brutally Suspended Indefinitely After Stomping Incident….
Louisiana Tech football player Brevin Randle has been suspended indefinitely following a controversial incident during Friday night’s game against the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Randle was seen stepping on the head of UTEP offensive lineman Steven Hubbard after a second-quarter play, an act that went unnoticed by game officials but caused widespread outrage.
The incident occurred after a pileup when Randle pushed Hubbard into the ground and then, as he got up, stomped on the back of his head and neck area with his right foot. Although no penalty was called at the time, video footage later revealed the unsportsmanlike act, prompting swift action from Louisiana Tech.
Louisiana Tech’s athletic director Eric Wood issued a statement on the matter, explaining the decision to suspend Randle. “Coach Cumbie and I met with Brevin Randle today and informed him that he has been suspended indefinitely as a result of the incident during last night’s game versus UTEP,” Wood said.
Randle reportedly acknowledged the severity of his actions. “In speaking with Brevin, he acknowledges that his action was wrong and understands the consequence of that action,” Wood continued. “Our university, athletic department, and football program believe in culture, class, and competitive excellence, and in no way was that displayed in that moment.”
Despite the controversy, Louisiana Tech went on to defeat UTEP 24-10, improving their record to 3-3 for the season. However, Randle’s future with the team remains uncertain as the university continues to review the incident.
